What is CoreGRID?
CoreGRID is a European Research Network of Excellence (NoE) on Foundations, Software
Infrastructures and Applications for large scale distributed,
GRID and Peer-to-Peer Technologies.
The network aims at strengthening and advancing scientific and technological excellence in the area of Grid and Peer-to-Peer technologies.

Research Institutes
CoreGRID consists of six research institutes each one dedicated on a particular research domain. The six
institutes are:
- Knowledge & Data Management
- Programming Models
- System Architecture
- Grid Information, Resource and Workflow Monitoring Services
- Resource Management and Scheduling
- Grid Systems, Tools and Environments
People
CoreGRID brings together about 285 researchers (of which 195 are PhD students)
from 42 Institutes around Europe.
