Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” remained in the Billboard Top 200 chart for a record 741 weeks from 1974 till 1988!

From the album Surfer Rosa: the song Ana stands for “Anagram”. The first letter of each verse in the song combined spells “Surfer”.

Madrugada is a Spanish word used to describe the hour just before the sunrise when everything is pure black. The group is however Norwegian and their name surely describes their music…

The Pixies’ “In Heaven Everything is Fine” is also known as “The Lady In The Radiator” Song. This song is actually taken from the ‘Eraserhead’ movie, which was David Lynch’s first full movie. A returning theme in the film is ‘the lady in the radiator’ starting to sing these words.

Initially, Kurt Cobain wanted to name their third album “I hate myself and I want to die!” but the record company refused to release it with this name… The album was finally named “In Utero” and was released by Geffen in 1993. “I hate myself and I want to die” was Kurt’s response to people asking him how he was. Ironic isn’t it?

Rock ‘n’ roll legends “The Who” have never had a number one album, despite their successful career… “My Generation” only managed #74 on the U.S. charts (!) although it’s one of their most recognizable records.
