Hmmm, tasty! Festival for vegans

For some strange reason, I got a message on Facebook for an event I am not interested in, hosted by a group I am not interested in. (Brief irrelevant parenthesis: where is the privacy on Facebook?!? Closing brief irrelevant parenthesis). Nevertheless, I am grateful for the nice blogging material. Here is the description of the event’s organizing group:

Festival of Life, Category: Common Interest – Health & Wellbeing

The Festival is a unique event with over 50 free talks and workshops and over 60 stalls covering: raw food preparation demos, superfoods, hemp, self empowerment, self healing, intuition, permaculture and environment, nature cures, natural cosmetics, spiritual/holistic philosophy, meditation, yoga, natural parenting, kids nutrition workshop, and plenty of delicious, nutritious, fresh organic gourmet vegan food & juices.

The Festival ends with an uplifting drug/alcohol-free dance party.

Sounds like a hell of a party… No way I’ll miss it. (It also smells like New Age stuff to me). Should be fun! On the related groups section we find this particularly interesting group: “Raw food vegans“, which is:

[…] for those who are or interested or just support the raw vegan diet and lifestyle. The raw food vegan diet & lifestyle successfully contributes not only to optimal health creation, but is also prevalent in animal welfare and ecology, providing a sustainable and compassionate future.

A raw foods diet is made up of fresh, whole, unrefined, living, plant-based foods: fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, and seeds, which are consumed in their natural state, without cooking or steaming.

Hmmmm, tasty! Can’t wait to leave all these disgusting steaks behind and start feeding on raw peas and ice lettuce! Yummy!

By the way these vegan groups remind me of this (click image for larger version):
