So, one of the presidential nominees for the US general elections in November, John McCain, evidently has not read the US constitution! Have a look at this and then decide yourself who should become the next “world” president…
What?!?
I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation.
Well, this is just plain wrong for a guy that supposedly pleads to defend the constitution! So, as an educational activity, let’s review the only places in the constitution that religion is referenced:
Article. VI. - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths [...] no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof [...]
