Government scraps blasphemy laws
In a rare rational moment, the House of Lords voted for a government plan to “abolish the offences of blasphemy and blasphemous libel” as BBC reported.

This, of course, is good news although some political and church figures saw that as an “assault on our Christian heritage” and as an effort towards the secularisation of the British society (why is this a bad thing anyway?)

I will close this newsflash with a famous quote (I am not sure who said it though!):
Blasphemy is a victimless crime
