Building up a beast: Quad core assembly
Well, I am not sure if it qualifies as a beast or not, but for my standards my new desktop PC is quite powerful! Backed by 4GB of 800MHz Memory, the Quad Core pumps blood to the rest of the system with very high efficiency!

Having collected the components from 3 different online stores (one of them based in Bolton), I took up the task of assembling it. (Actually, it was my friend Tolis who assembled it, I was merely providing the labour work ;-) )

But hey, this is *my* blog so I can write pretty much whatever I want! So: I *alone* assembled this beast based on my insurmountable previous experience of building, well… ahem… one Intel 486 about, hmmmm, 10 years ago…

So, for the sake of encouraging lower-level instincts (e.g. jealousy), I hereby publish a number of the photos I took of the occasion! What? Did you actually expect a technical guide on how to assemble a PC? No no no… Some other time perhaps…

Good work,Stavros.
You seem to be a computer geek, so it would be interesting to see a dissertation on the differences and advantages of Linux and Windows.
I happen to be a Linux advocate for some time now, and I love it.
Would like to see your views.:)

Cheers
That could take a while ;-)
