Jim Callahan Makes Phone Calls to the “Other Side”
Jim Callahan is a guy that can communicate with the dead. Or so he claims.

I came upon one of his performances in the NBC show “Phenomenon“, where, by the way, three illusionists/magicians/psychics compete towards a prize and the title of the “Best Entertainer” (or at least that’s the idea I got). The judges (?) are the famous spoon bender Uri Geller, and Chris Angel (yes, it is the guy that walks on water, cuts women in half, and goes through 5 inch thick glass).

To get to my point, this is the video of Jim Callahan’s performance, where he supposedly communicates with a dead guy from the “other side”. I’ll be honest: this was a terrible performance! The acting was bad, the whole theatricals were amateurish (to say the least) and the cheap tricks employed to increase the “awe” factor were simply… well, cheap! Is this video supposed to be an actual communication with the dead guy? Not really… I cannot comprehend how on earth can anyone seriously take this at face value?!

I was laughing so hard when I saw this video! Why is he suffering so much when ‘connecting’ with the dead guy? Why does he communicate in writing? And moreover why in reverse writing?!? Why is the dead guy bothered to tell what is in the box?!? No, no, let me rephrase that and use Stan’s (from Southpark) logic: doesn’t the dead guy have anything better to do than talk to Jim Callahan about toy cars inside boxes?!? Surely he has. And I was always crious as to what is the ‘connection’ process? How does it work? Is it like the telephone system where you dial a specific number and connect?

Bonus in the video: Chris Angel brands Callahan a fraud and challenges him to describe the contents of a sealed envelope! And then it escalates into a nice melodrama…

UPDATE: I admit I missed something here. I was quick to accept Chris Angel comments about Jim Callahan being a fraud. It turns out that Callahan does not in fact always advertise himself as a psychic/medium but usually as a paranormalist. Personally, I was confused as to what exactly the difference is, and if someone adds the whole communication with the dead concept from the show, well, it is easy to get confused with a medium…

Heres how he did it, while the choosing of the object for the box was secret and supposed to be known to only Raven, some things sould be noted. First the items were provided by Jim Callahan, second there are 2 ways that he could have known without raven knowing. 1. hidden camera catches her or 2. They look to see what is MISSING
