Supergroup: thats what you get when you put together a number of well known and recognized peers into one studio room or venue platform.
And this is probably THE supergroup as formed by Rexx Arkana in order to realize his ode to his father that was dying from cancer…
He wrote the lyrics himself and then he got Sebastian Komor from Icon of Coil to provide the music layers, Joakim Montelius from Covenant to provide the loops and Ronan Harris from VNV Nation to vocalize it. So there you have all the heavyweights of modern industrial dance music. All but one. Who is missing?
Yes, Rexx realized that indeed Stephen Groth from Apoptygma Berzerk was a very noticeable absentee so he contacted him as well to provide the backing vocals. And there you have it: “Forever”.
Listen to it… And try to persuade Rexx to get them all together again -maybe for a permanent side project? Mouthwatering prospect!
